For over one hundred years, the Grand Theatre has been entertaining audiences. Built in 1902 as a Vaudeville House, the Grand went to "talking pictures" in the early 20's. Many local residents have fond memories of going to "The Show" to catch something on the big screen.
One of the few remaining single screen movie theatres operating in the Mon Valley, the Grand Theatre still maintains many of its original architectural details. Enter the front lobby and you're transported back in time.
Today, the Grand Theatre hosts a variety of entertainment including live theatre, music, dance, film, and community events. |

I'm Sorry the Bridge Is Out, You'll Have To Spend The Night
John David Wellgood and Mary Helen Merriman find themselves stranded near a medieval castle on the outskirts of Steubenville, Ohio. They ask to use the phone to call the auto club, but then the bridge washes out and they're stuck for the night. Soon they meet Dr. Victor Frankenstein, Igor, The Monster, Count Dracula and his wife Natasha, Renfield, assorted female vampires, The Wolfman and his mother Mom Talbot, The Mummy and his factotum Dr. Abdul Nasser and, of course, assorted villagers. The arrival of John and Mary precipitates a crisis as each of the characters wants John and Mary (or both!) for his or her own purposes. Written by the creators of the hit song "The Monster Mash," this musical romp is just plain fun! Friday-Saturday, October 24-25, 730pm Sunday, October 26, 2pm November
Stoogefest Saturday, November 15, 7pm Come on you knuckleheads it's time to go to the theatre! One of our most popular events is back for a 6th year! Five stooge shorts on the big screen. Special guest speaker Richard Sanner author of "Memories of a Stooge Boomer" will give audience members an inside look into the Stooges. All seats $5.
